Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Another year, another pumpkin patch field trip for Jackson!  He was so excited for the field trip this year, and to go on his first field trip with his new class.  And I was exicted to help chaperone again - it's so fun seeing the kiddos get so excited for a day of fun, away from school.

This year, we went to Jubilee Farm, which was a first for us.  There's a nice little pumpkin patch, wagon rides, lots of fruits and vegetables growing around the farm, some animals (ducks, chickens and pigs), and a hay maze.  Even though it was a bit chilly and damp that a.m., the kiddos had a great time, and enjoyed picking out pumpkins and seeing the animals and learning all kinds of fun facts about them.

In looking back at photos from last year's field trip, I can't believe how much older Jackson looks this year! Time sure flies and you don't notice the changes day to day, but when comparing year over year, it really is amazing how much they grow and change.

Pumpkin Patch

After a fun trip to Remlinger Farms for pumpkin picking last year, it was our destination of choice this year.  The weather was amazing on Saturday - sunny and in the 70's - so after nap time/quiet time, we packed up and made the short drive to the farm.

The actual pumpkin picking lasted just a few minutes - the boys were happy with some of the first pumpkins they found.  Afterwards, we did the wagon ride, just as we did last year.  With Cole's love of tractors, we thought he'd love it.  While he didn't hate it, he seemed very serious/nervous about it.

Jackson heard they had a corn maze and was dying to do that, so we rounded out our trip with a few trips through that.

The kiddos were hungry and we were in the mood to try something new, so we headed to Tipsy Cow for the first time and enjoyed their delicious burgers and shakes.  As has been typical when eating out lately, Cole loved his dinner of chicken strips and fries, not allowing us to take him out of the highchair until he'd polished everything off.  Corey and Jackson had already headed to the car while Cole finished this time around, and after a good 5 minutes of him continuing to eat, I was finally able to get him out of there after putting the remaining fries into his hand.

Looking forward more Tipsy Cow trips, and to carving our pumpkins!
