Family Photo Session

We hadn't had a family photo session since our friend Jen captured some fun shots of the four of us right after Cole was born, so we decided it was time to have more photos taken.  This time around we lined up this photographer, who several of our friends have used, and headed out to Dahlia Park in the highlands last weekend for our session.

I'm so happy to report that she was able to capture some great shots of the four of us and she greatly surpassed my expectations considering how hard it is to get even a single picture of both boys these days, where they are both smiling and/or not moving around.  I was worried when we first showed up and it started to sprinkle (it quickly stopped) and then when, after the first shot, Cole decided he would rather run around like a crazy man, looking for rocks, but Jen and her husband did a great job capturing the boys' attention.

Here are some (many) of my favorites. I'm so looking forward to ordering some prints and swapping out photos in the frames around our house!

This is such a "Cole" face - always so excited and easily impressed.

Captures J's love of big hugs perfectly.

Feels like a senior portrait - where did my baby go??!

Cole's holding a prized rock here...

Cole's arms still get real excited about things and this pic captures that.

Shows the "behind the scenes" view of what we were dealing with - Cole constantly wanting his "milk" (water) and J wanting to cuddle.
