Perfect Summer Treat

The recently opened D'AmbrosioGelato has become our go to spot in Ballard for gelato. We recently hit it up with the crew (aka Nick & Gina, Kels & Mark, Sara) after a Matador happy hour and were lucky enough to head back with Joan over the past weekend after dinner at our place.

With 20+ unique flavors (woman's kiss and dark chocolate are my faves) to choose from, everyone is happy. And truly, there is nothing better than a cold treat on a hot, sunny day. Wouldn't you agree?

Here are a few photos from our visit last weekend --- as you can tell, it wasn't hot out that trip, but it was still just as good!

Um, I am confused. It was 97 degrees yesterday. Why are you all wearing coats?

Sorry - I'm slow. The part about the 'recent trip with the crew' was last weekend when it was 60 degrees and raining. It was much hotter when we went with Joan this past weekend. Obvioulsy, I didn't make that very clear...;)

Everyone knows gelato tastes better when you're hot. So, imagine how good it tastes in 90 degrees + a coat...

Sorry they don't have bacon flavor gelato, but I'm sure you could find something you like there.

Those are some big gelato servings. Nothing like the small scoop you get Chocolate Box!

Corey has a day of eating mapped for the Gossetts in Ballard so we should schedule something soon.

Those cones are huge!! It's your duty to keep this place in business.
