New parenting achievement unlocked...after over a decade (12 years to be exact) of creating year in review videos, Jackson took over video creation duties this year!
2024 was another year that flew by, seemingly in the blink of an eye, in many aspects.
We adopted Finn, a Frenchie, in January and we all absolutely adore him. He's silly, loves to lay by the fire and cuddle.
We took less trips overall but enjoyed our first family trip to London and Paris over the summer. Earlier in the year, the boys and I enjoyed a quick mid-winter getaway to Scottsdale with the Barth family, for sun and Mariners spring training. We also visited the Halleran family in Seabrook. And a few adults only trips to Boise and Vegas.
The boys are in their last years of their respective schools. Jackson continued with track and cross country and really grew and exceled in both. He loves coding and is really enjoying the leadership programs he's involved in at school, where he was recently awarded Student of the Month after being nominated by his principal. Cole continues to impress us all with his flexibility. He continued with aerial silks for part of the year, before moving on to try contemporary dance. He's doing well in math (despite being adamant about his dislike of the subject) and writing at school. He loves to sew, and spends lots of designing outfits on Dress to Impress.
In a tough turn of events, Corey's mom went though a challenging cancer diagnosis in February. She's a total trooper through, pushing through brain surgery and radiation like a champ. After living with us for a few months, she was stable and strong enough to be able to return to her home, where she's doing well. We all enjoyed the extra quality time with her while she stayed with us and are so thankful for her recovery and health as we wrap up the year.
We're all looking forward to a fresh start as we kick off 2025. Best wishes to all for an amazing year ahead!
